THE LIBRARY

Recovered writings are sorted into drawers. Some are complete. Some were interrupted before they could become whole.

Little Ballet

DT-ST-001 · Record Type: Tale · Condition: Preserved

Shiny floor, clear mirror, and decent lights. Inside the storage, there is a box. A box that was kept hidden for so long.

Little Ballet went into the storage area, which was off-limits to Ballets. Out of curiosity, it discovered torn tutus piled up. One thing kept it glancing: a box.

The box was dusty, and so she decided to open it. As it opened, it swallowed her.

Hours went by, and the Little Ballet was nowhere to be seen. The ballet mistress went to the storage, and there it was—the box that had once been dusty, now shiny and bright.

It knew the Little Ballet had been swallowed, but the ballet mistress could not do anything about it, so she placed a sticker on the box and labeled it: Little Ballet.

Now the ballet mistress's collection had thirteen boxes beneath the piled-up torn tutus.

Lovely Mask

DT-ST-002 · Record Type: Tale · Condition: Preserved

A grand ball was held at the palace.

Only the wealthiest families received invitations. Commoners were told to stay away because they might neglect their work, though many believed it was merely an excuse to keep them beyond the palace gates.

As the guests arrived, magnificent gowns and tailored suits filled the entrance. Even the children were dressed as elegantly as their parents.

When the ballroom doors opened, music echoed through the palace as nobles greeted one another beneath glittering chandeliers.

Then she arrived.

Conversations softened. A few dances paused for only a moment, yet it was enough for everyone to notice her.

She wore an elegant gown and a lovely mask that concealed her face. Somehow, despite the mask, she possessed an unmistakable beauty that no one could explain.

Throughout the evening, unmarried gentlemen patiently waited for the chance to dance with the mysterious lady. Some even hoped to invite her to dinner afterward.

She hesitated at first but accepted every invitation.

As the night continued, the center of attention was no longer the grand ballroom, the music, or the celebration.

It was her.

The ball came to an end, leaving many convinced they had met the most graceful woman in the kingdom.

The following morning, several of the gentlemen returned to the palace.

Each of them asked the same question.

"Who was the lady with the lovely mask?"

The palace staff looked at one another in confusion.

No noble family claimed her. No guest list contained her name.

Even the keeper of the invitations frowned.

"I remember admitting her," he quietly said. "But... I don't remember writing down her name."

The men refused to believe it. They insisted she had been among the invited guests.

Word soon spread beyond the palace walls.

People searched the town, hoping someone knew the mysterious woman. Even married men who had attended the ball remembered dancing around her, speaking of her elegance with certainty.

Yet whenever they tried to describe her—

They fell silent.

No one remembered her face. No one remembered her hair. No one remembered the color of her dress.

Yet every one of them swore she was the most beautiful woman they had ever seen.

The mystery remained unsolved.

As years passed, the story was no longer spoken of as an event, but as a tale.

People gave it a name.

Lovely Mask.

LETTERS

Unsent thoughts, human observations, and emotional records preserved before they could disappear.

Humans are toxic. Or at least, that is what people say.

It sounds simple, but we act based on our thoughts, emotions, and feelings—especially the ones we cannot control. If someone yells at you for no reason, and you already have anger in you, do you think you can always hold it back? Maybe. Sometimes.

You always have a choice, but emotions often take over. That is when things are said or done that were not really meant. And that is why people start to think humans are toxic.

It is the society we live in.

Mother.

I woke up late in the morning, expecting nothing but endless chores from a yelling mother.

She is annoying, unpredictable, and often harsh with her words. But sometimes, we bond like any parent and child would.

But why is that?

Some nights I cannot sleep, and too many thoughts come at once. One of them is my mother. Even when we fight and disagree, she is still human, just like me. It is not that she is always the “bad” one. It is simply that humans make mistakes, and I understand that.

Everyone Leaves Eventually

“Everyone leaves eventually.”

That line kept me in a haze for a moment, because I realized the people I cherish had already started to leave, even before I ever heard it.

People leave in different ways, and some of them are unexpected. That is why we should learn to appreciate the presence of those who are still with us—especially the ones who stay through the hardest times.

To the Person Reading This,

Record Type: Visitor Letter · Condition: Human

I don’t know what you’re going through right now, or what kind of day you had. But I just want to say I’m glad you’re still here.

Some days are really heavy, even if nothing “big” is happening. You just feel tired, or empty, or like everything is too much. And if that’s you, then I hope this somehow reminds you that you’re still doing fine just by continuing.

You don’t always have to be strong or productive. Sometimes just getting through the day is already enough.

Things change even when it doesn’t feel like it. You just don’t always notice it right away.

Thank you for existing long enough to arrive here.
